This Rolakan kilim was handwoven in Sweden during the middle of the 20th century.

It features an abstract design woven with an organic feel. The design is reminiscent of bare branches reaching toward the sky. The straightforward palette of light and dark browns, light and dark blues, grey, and white and perfectly balanced with the use of marbled yarn. The initials "IS" for textile artist Ingrid Solow can be found in the bottom right corner. 

In very good condition for its age. Wefted with wool over a linen warp. Flat pile with a hefty handle.
