This Gabbeh rug was handwoven in Southern Iran during the 21st century.
It features columns of vegetal-like shapes in various reds, blues, yellows, greens, and browns on a variegated gray ground. The columns are simply inconsistently drawn giving the appearance of a field of flowers swaying in the wind. The pile is densely woven, making this a plush rug.
The rug is in excellent unused condition, with no signs of wear.
