This kilim was woven in Egypt during the 20th century.
It depicts two columns of figures in a lounge enjoying hookahs and tea. The colors of the people, chairs, and hookahs alternate adding playfulness and interest. Most of the figures are sitting in profile other than three Edvard Munch-like figures who face the viewer.
In very good condition. Fully intact with some areas of slight color run.
