A compact Tibetan Wangden woven in the Wangden Valley of eastern Tibet, organized around a bold nested square composition. Stepped meanders radiate outward from a central panel, creating a rhythmic, architectural framework that balances symmetry with subtle irregularity. The palette of muted coral, slate blue, and mineral green is anchored by a dark brown inner border punctuated with small ivory accents.

Woven in hand-spun wool with a dense, springy pile, the piece retains its original long fringe and displays the lively surface typical of village production in the Kham region. The reverse is warp-faced, a defining structural feature of Wangden textiles, reflecting their traditional function as durable seat covers, bedding elements, or interior furnishings within Tibetan homes and tents. Its compact scale makes it equally compelling as a graphic floor accent or wall-mounted textile.
