This Suzani fragment was handmade during the third quarter of the 20th century (1950-1975) in Uzbekistan. It features a combination of detailed border designs and the beginnings of a field design that have been sewn together with an orange velvet border surrounding the intended perimeter. In addition to being a portion of one full piece, there are drawn on markings visible where the design was left unfinished in places, highlighting the human hand.
It measures 4' x 6'6".
