This Boujad runner was handwoven in the Middle Atlas mountains of Morocco during the end of the 20th century.
It features a whimsical combination of diamonds, animals, and people in purple, yellow, and red. The inclusion of a large 5-pointed star on the distinctive red ground is a reference to the flag of Morocco. In a hard-to-find runner format.
In Good condition with some field wear; ends have likely been reduced. Low shag pile with a heavy handle.
