Shahsavan runner from Northwest Iran, handwoven during the first quarter of the 20th century (1900-1925).
Features a repetitive geometric design with a rosette main border. A multitude of colors including reds, blues, greens, yellows, ivories, and browns elevate the simple design. Note the typical candy cane minor borders, here woven in blue and red.
In good condition, with wear concentrated in the central area (pictured), where the pile has worn down but the foundation is still intact. Edges have been reinforced for longevity.
