This finely woven Tekke ensi, or door rug, was woven in Southern Turkmenistan during the early 20th century. Its composition follows the traditional four-panel layout divided by a vertical and horizontal axis in a classic Hatchli format. Within each quadrant, stylized tree motifs rise in rhythmic symmetry as abstracted forms that may signify fertility, life, and renewal within the enclosed domestic world.

This Yomud Turkmen rug was handwoven during the early 20th century in Western Turkmenistan.

This finely balanced Yomud carpet features a repeating dyrnak-gul field in shades of plum, indigo, ivory, coral, apricot and sky blue. Each diamond-shaped motif radiates a strong tribal geometry, emblematic of Yomud weavings from the Caspian steppe.

A beautifully balanced flatweave from the Balkan weaving tradition, this Sarkoy kilim features a striking interplay of color and form. The composition centers on a coral-red field framed by alternating turquoise and charcoal borders, each filled with stylized, abstracted bird motifs rendered in yellow, ivory, and crimson. The rhythmic repetition and crisp geometry lend the piece a distinctly modern sensibility while remaining rooted in folk symbolism and regional craftsmanship.

A monumental weaving by Omar Chasan that showcases the intuitive, freehand aspects of his practice. The piece utilizes natural pigments Omar derived from wild marigold, cochineal and pomegranate against a ground of varied tones of undyed churro wool. He collected unusual shades of gray undyed churro wool over two years to use in this composition.

via the artist: The piece Raíces was born from a free and intuitive weaving process. The organic, curved shapes break away from traditional geometric iconography, evoking roots that express the importance of knowing where we come from in order to expand and grow just like branches.

This exquisite thangka presents a meticulously detailed mandala centered on Vairocana Buddha, the cosmic embodiment of wisdom and illumination.
