Graphic Navajo Rug - 3'5 x 4'11

This exceptional vintage Navajo weaving is distinguished by its remarkably bold and unconventional composition. A dramatic abstracted butterfly or cruciform motif anchors the design, its rhythmic serrated forms creating a striking sense of movement while broad expanses of natural gray wool provide a calm, spacious counterpoint. The result is a textile that feels both deeply rooted in tradition and distinctly modern.

Architectonic Navajo Rug - 3'8 x 4'11

A Richly colored tribal rug with a striking double-column format of two tall elongated medallions on a deep indigo ground, each structured around a vertical spine of diamond forms quartered in olive and cream. The m red field between and around them reads almost as a third element, giving the composition an unusual density. Colors throughout are well-preserved with navy, red, ivory, and a muted green that surfaces in the medallion interiors and guard borders.

Kurdish Rug - 4'3 x 6'7

An antique Quchan Kurdish rug woven with an allover field of small stepped geometric medallions in soft salmon, indigo blue, turquoise, ivory, and warm brown. The closely arranged motifs create a lively, mosaic-like surface, framed by an ivory floral border and narrow geometric guard borders.

Quchan rugs were woven by Kurdish communities in the Khorasan region and are admired for their strong tribal drawing, durable construction, and expressive use of color. This example is especially appealing for its com

Quchan Kurd Rug - 3' x 5'6

A madder red field densely packed with an all-over diagonal boteh repeat in ivory, navy, gold, teal, and brown forms scattered across the ground in a loose, lively arrangement. The runner reads almost like a textile print at distance and reveals real drawing up close. No two botehs are identical; the color varies row to row, giving the field a warm, animated quality that a more regimented repeat couldn’t achieve.

The main border is a deep navy with a bold reciprocal leaf-and-vine pattern, framed by na

This finely woven Sarouk exemplifies the lush floral language that made the region’s carpets among the most sought-after of 1920s. Set against a deep midnight-blue ground, an intricate lattice of scrolling vines, palmettes, and rosettes unfolds with remarkable density and clarity, anchored by a subtle central medallion that gives structure to the otherwise allover composition.
