Art Deco rug, handwoven in Tietsin, China during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features two distinctive and lively groupings of blossoming flowers on a rich burgundy field. An old tag from a former owner (Kaoud Brothers) is still attached to the back.
In very good condition, with almost no visible wear other than the fringes which are still intact but shorter than originally woven. Pile is thickly woven and medium height, with a sturdy handle.
