This Bessarabian kilim was woven in Moldova during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features four bouquets plush cabbage roses in maroon, orange and soft pink on a deep brown, almost black field. It has a small inner frame of pairs of simpler flowers on a track with c scroll cornices. The proper outer border features a scrolling view with various leaves in bright oranges, slate and soft pinks on a camel ground.
In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Flatwoven, with a sturdy handle.
