This Moroccan-styled rug was woven during the 21st century in India.
It features an idiosyncratic pattern of wonky interconnected diamonds on a ground of alternating stripes in different widths and colors and full of various small diamond shapes. The diamond lattice is outlined in a thick white band flanked by smaller back and green bands and appears to float above the polychrome striped ground that alternates between vibrant tones red, green and watermelon and calmer tones of pale yellow and sand. Woven of dense wool and strong dyes giving it durability and extra heft not commonly found in the Moroccan weaving usually associated with this patterning.
In excellent condition, with no signs of wear. Pile is thick, with a soft handle.
