This Gabbeh rug was woven in Southern Iran during the end of the 20th century. This rug features a variety of sea turtles in multiple colors and sizes against a undulating sage background. A calming and playful rug which is open and borderless. A modern interpretation of the classic gabbeh animal rug in a desirable room size.

Vintage Turtle Rug - 5’6 x 9’

contemporary turkish kilim featuring rows of free-flowing wavy lines in tones of ivory, gray and various shades of brown. It is woven of undyed handspun wool that has been separated into various natural tones and woven in blocks. The organic flow of the lines are reminiscent of natural patterns found on the grain of wood or an animal pelt. Made in a manner uncommon for modern production, this is sure to be well crafted for future generations. A small but impactful piece.

Contemporary Turkish Kilim - 2'1 x 3'3

This Contemporary N Persian Kilim features four vertical columns of hourglass shapes. A column of navy on a red ground and yellow on an ivory ground is flanked on both sides by red hourglass shapes on a yellow ground which is horizontally connected by a thin strip of yellow on both the top and bottom. The whole is framed by a solid green border.

Contemporary Azeri Kilim - 3’4 x 5’

This Contemporary N Persian Kilim features horizontal rows in red, yellow-green, and navy each with five hourglass shapes in contrasting tones. The rows are stacked and the colors are chosen in no particular pattern giving the piece a welcome randomness. It is framed by a solid ivory border with Farsi text scrolling across the top.

Contemporary Azeri Kilim - 4’8 x 7’

This Moroccan-styled rug was woven during the 21st century in India. It features an idiosyncratic pattern of wonky interconnected diamonds on a ground of alternating stripes in different widths and colors and full of various small diamond shapes. The diamond lattice is outlined in a thick white band flanked by smaller back and green bands and appears to float above the polychrome striped ground that alternates between vibrant tones red, green and watermelon and calmer tones of pale yellow and sand.

Contemporary Moroccan-Style Runner - 2'3 x 14'3

This Vintage Checker Gabbeh Rug features a field of checkered squares composed of a variety of variegated tones of undyed wool in shades of gray, beige, and dark and light brown. The squares are neatly yet imperfectly ordered slightly shifting in scale. Each square is clearly delineated in a dark brown outline and the whole composition is framed by a gray band. Both light and dark handspun wool warps were used which add visual interest to the fringes. The pile is densely woven, making this a plush rug.

Vintage Checker Gabbeh Rug - 3'7 x 4'3

This Tree Gabbeh Rug features a simple and very organic rendering of a tree in dark brown barren of any leave on a variegated cream and brown ground. The simple form is naturalistic in its asymmetry and in the way the branches spread out into various tributaries. The pile is densely woven, making this a plush rug. Great for the floor or the wall.
