This Peking Chinese rug was handwoven in Eastern China during the turn of the 20th century.
It features a sparsely decorated light blue field with single blossoming branch in the center flanked by a grouping of various flowers in each corner. The whole is framed a navy border featuring vases and tea sets and auspicious symbols surrounded by bent ribbons. A wonderful celebration of blue.
In good condition with some wear near center with old repairs and some light staining.
