This small chanteh or small carrying bag was woven in the Caucasus during the middle of the 20th century.
The bagfaces are constructed in soumak weave with a plain undyed flatwoven back with both faces featuring a red geometric rosette on a navy ground with a thin orange cruciform center. Each bagface is framed with a border of simple rosettes composed of connected squares.
In very good condition, with minimal signs of wear.
