This rug was woven by the Bakhtiari tribe during the second quarter of the 20th century.
Originally woven as a bag, which was later opened. It features multiple weaving techniques including kilim, pile, and soumak in a variety of reds, oranges, blues, and ivory. It has a ton of personality, is intricately detailed, and is visually striking.
It is in good condition, with strong buckling as pictured.
