This Moroccan-styled rug was woven during the 21st century in Afghanistan.
The bottom section prominently features multiple mountain-like shapes in shades of ivory, blue and brown on a rich indigo base. The top section features organic vertical lines amongst wonky circular shapes similar to abstracted bubbles or bunches of grapes. Both sections sit atop a thinly patterned mosaic grid that alternates ivory, brown, and turquoise. Woven of hearty, hand-spun Afghan wool giving it durability and extra heft not commonly found in the Moroccan weaving usually associated with this patterning.
In excellent condition, with no signs of wear. Pile is thick, with a soft handle.
