This Deco rug was handwoven in Eastern China during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features an open celadon field framed by a small cream border and a wider navy border. Sparsely ornamented with a flower-filled vase, flowering branches, an orb, an eternal knot, and an interesting patch of purple that is reminiscent of a single broad brushstroke in the top right corner. Simple and straightforward with an auspicious vibe.
In good condition with some areas of wear to the foundation
