This Beni Ourain rug was woven during the middle of 20th century in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco. It features a central column of black latticed diamonds on a creamy white ground.  Red and brown stripes can be found around the perimeter, most prominently in the striped kilim end borders. It features a diamond lattice design in black and gray on dramatic red ground. that appears solid at first glance but with very nuanced shifts in tone.
