This Boucherouite rug was handwoven in Morocco during the end of the 20th century.   Boucherouite rugs are made using recycled fabrics, giving them their distinctive multicolor and shaggy pile. This funky rug features a diamond checkerboard pattern in black, ivory, red and turquoise.  The lovely free flowing nature is accentuated by the changing proportions of the diamonds and uneven use of the vibrant tones (especially the turquoise!)

In Very Good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Shaggy pile made with recycled materials, with a heavy handle.
