This Rölakan was handwoven in Sweden during the middle of the 20th Century.
A beautifully balanced Scandinavian flatweave featuring soft, luminous tones of straw yellow, pale green, sky blue, and warm ochre. The design is arranged in horizontal bands of stylized floral motifs, framed by subtle striped edges in an unmistakable nod to mid-century Swedish weaving traditions. The palette is intentionally gentle and airy, giving the piece a fresh, understated presence that works effortlessly in contemporary interiors.
Woven in slit-tapestry technique with wool on a cotton foundation, the rug has a light, pliable handle and a refined texture typical of Swedish artisanal workshops of the mid-20th century. The graphic floral forms and repeating bands make it an ideal accent piece for modern, Scandinavian, or minimalist spaces seeking warmth without heaviness.
In very good condition. The is wear to both ends and they have been reinforced folk-style with stitching (as pictured)
