This Sarkoy kilim was in the Balkans during the 19th century.
It features a border fragment with a grapevine motif. An inner and outer border band is shown in light and dark blue. The vine is rendered in light blue with ivory grape bunches and two-tone leaves of pistachio and navy on a rich red ground. Very old for type with great color and subject, would look lovely hung on a wall.
