It is composed of pieced together fabrics, most probably recycled materials from around the home. The scalloped edge of the quilt suggests this piece was sewn by an expert quilter.

Vintage Indian quilted blockprint quilt featuring a celebration of indigo. Blue is the main color, with red, black, and white providing details. It uses three different block-printed fabrics, one of which uses writing to great effect, while the other two are geometric designs. The fabrics are cut and pieced together in a diamond design. The back is lined with a striped whole cloth.
