19th century south Persian lori rug featuring a classic repeating diamond pattern set in a diagonal. Note the classic candy-cane borders found in many rugs woven in the Zagros. The main border continues the diamond motif of the main design but in a straight line. Two little figures at the top on the left and right of the rug add a touch of whimsy.

This Shiraz rug was handwoven during the end of the 20th century. This cheerful Shiraz rug features a well-balanced variation of the Herati design in a fun and fresh palette that includes turquoise, green aubergine, yellow, orange, and both hot and dusty pink on a Nantucket red ground. The whole composition is framed by a strong border of alternating palmettes and serrated leaves.

This Vintage Shiraz Rug features two columns of latch-hooked diamonds surrounded by animals on a maroon ground. The animals are large, detailed, and diverse including deer, falcons, and partridges. Framed by an ivory main border in a style more often found in older Qashqai rugs from the region. In good condition with some light color run. Medium pile with a thick, heavy handle.
