This Sultanabad was handwoven in Western Iran during the early 20th century. It features a central medallion that floats on an open and expansive golden camel ground. The field is bare other than the medallion and four cornices each mimicking a mirorred quadrant of the medallion. Framed by a main border of scrolling vegetation in pink, green, ivory and gold on an icy blue ground. Well-balanced with a desirable palette in a hard to come by size.

It features one large central medallion and four smaller medallions on the top and bottom of this wide and narrow format which is common for type. The medallions sit at an all over design of an abstracted herati variation with wide leaves, rounded rosettes and arrow like forms. various borders of tulips, evil eyes and eight pointed rosettes.

A brick-red field is complemented by the deep navy, french blue, yellow, and coral tones with brown and ivory accents. The four french blue cornices invigorate the rug and a wonderful undulating abrash adds layers to the composition. It is framed by a navy main border of polychrome palmettes. In a desirable size that is more squarish than usual.

Antique roomsize Heriz rug featuring a geometric central medallion on a madder red ground. The design of the more boxy medallion throughout completely changes the composition giving this piece a unique feel. Soft pinks and gold work well with jewel-toned blues and greens that really sing. Framed by a main border of rosettes and serrated leaves, the border pattern breaks near the bottom edge on both sides where the weaver filled the space with various small rosettes like a patch of wildflowers.
