This pictorial; rug was handwoven in China during the second quarter of the 20th century. It features a rendering of the Eight Immortals sitting atop cloudbands and amongst vegetation. These famous figures are signs of prosperity and longevity and can be represented in many different manners and often including deities or attendants as seen here. The Each immortal holds an object to identify themselves such as a flute (Han Xiangzi) or a lotus flower (He Xiangu).

Eight Immortals Rug - 2’6 x 6’6

This Navajo rug was handwoven in the Southwest US during the second quarter of the 20th century. It features interconnected rosette-like diamonds in black and white on a vast gray field. The gray color is created by mixing different strands of undyed wool. The whole is framed by a thin red border that sawtooths into the gray field.

Nicely finished with a simple meander inner border and an outer border composed of a simple yet powerful band of undyed camel. Feng shui The pictorial rug was handwoven in Mongolia during the early 20th century. It features a mirrored design of a stag under a tree with a crane and bat flying above. The stag represents well-being, while the crane symbolizes a long life and the bat prosperity. The color palette is minimal with ivory, dark and light blues. The whole is framed by a tightly rendered fret border.

NW persian Serab runner featuring a medallion filled with latticework and four serrated leaves around a central rosette. Comfortably spaced throughout the field and border with a sandy camel ground that lends the perfect backdrop for vibrant greens, blues, reds, pinks, mauve, and orange. The whole is framed by a thin undyed band of camel wool then finished with a final red stripe of pile and selvedge along the sides.

19th century small Mongolian rug depicting a natural scene primarily of a variety of animals among trees and stones. Among the animals, deer, bats, goats and a pig can be found. The stones have the appearance of scholars' stones and are rendered in a lovely combination of blues, purples, and browns. Four eternal knots can be found in each corner.
