This Suzani was handmade during the second quarter of the 20th century (1925-1950) in Uzbekistan.
It features a repetitive design of asymmetric circular medallions that vibrate in orange, purple, blue, and green atop a faded red ground. The colors have faded at different rates giving the piece interest and character. There are drawn markings visible where the design was left unfinished in places, highlighting the human hand.
As befits its age, this piece has some very small holes as pictured.
