This Pre-Columbian textile panel dates from the Chimu period.
The central band features a repeat pattern of confronting figures upon a table or pedestal and surrounded by bird figures. The coloful palette includes pinks and purples derived from cochineal. Very finely woven and well-preserved textile panel.
In Very Good condition for its advanced age some staining as pictured. Professionally framed.
