shawl was handwoven in Morocco during the middle of the 20th Century. This shawl is very finely woven of soft wool and features horizontal bands of undyed wool in various browns, grays and ivories. Finished with neatly braided fringes.

It features a field of red and blue stepped polygons and small brown triangles in various on a bright ivory ground.  The ivory field is framed by jagged zigzags around the perimeter and finished with thick bands of blue and red on the sides and ends respectively. May have been made as one side of a saddle bag. A small but impactful piece.

This Bokhara was woven in Pakistan during the 1980s.  With an uncommon design for Bokhara rugs it for Bokhara features a classic Ensi design and a lovely skirt border on one end all on a desirable and uncommon black ground. Ensi rugs were woven by Turkmen tribes and traditionally used as a door cover or entrance to a yurt. Their is a belief among seasoned Turkmen collectors that the intention of this pattern was to represent a door or window to the afterlife.

Antique Veramin bagface featuring central hooked device on a navy ground filled with various animals and protection symbols. Framed by a wide main border of multicolored eight-pointed stars on an ivory ground which is flanked by two minor borders of multicolored ovals on a soft red ground. It is finished with a slit kilim top and dotted skirt end. Nicely embellished with a salt and pepper weft float on end.

Vintage Mola cloth handmade by the Guna (previously spelled Kuna) people of the San Blas Islands.  Mola is a reverse appliqué technique, similar to the technique used in quilting but using multiple layers of different-colored cloth that are first sewn together before a design is created by cutting away different layers. These cloths are traditionally made in pairs to be worn on the front and back of women's blouses.  This Mola features a pattern of six turtles.  The fabric is in very good condition.

Antique Prayer Baluch rug composed of a directional prayer niche with a tree-of-life central motif that fills the camel mihrab. As the mihrab narrows boteh like shapes can be found at the top of the tree. The same motif can be found on the two smaller trees flanking the top of the mihrab. Navy, orange, purplish brown and ivory liven up the composition.

Feng shui The pictorial rug was handwoven in Mongolia during the early 20th century.  It features a mirrored design of a stag under a tree with a crane and bat flying above. The stag represents well-being, while the crane symbolizes a long life and the bat prosperity. The color palette is minimal with ivory, dark and light blues. The whole is framed by a tightly rendered fret border.

This Yei rug was woven by Navajo weavers during the second quarter of the 20th century in the Southwest United States.  The design of this rug is derived from Navajo sand painting. It features six “Yei” or holy people on a black background. The Yei alternate between orange and white and each is wearing turqoise necklaces and holds sacred eagle feathers.
