This Vintage Peruvian Kilim features a grid of diagonally repeating squares full of various abstracted shapes and symbols. It is woven in two panels which are sewn together and utilize tones of soft cochineal purples, undyed browns, and greens with pops of yellow. The colors and style suggest it was woven by the talented weavers in the Ayacucho region. Very soft and lightweight, can double as a multifunctional textile or wall tapestry.

This Three Elephant Kantha features a main panel with a central flower surrounded by organic flowering vines and free-flowing running stitches. The bottom panel has a lovely rendition of three elephants. Elephants are a very auspicious and potent symbol in local culture. They represent wisdom and strength as well as having regal and divine connotations dependent on the intention of the artisan.

19th century Indian Jail dhurrie featuring a series rows of deep navy and bright white stripes which feather at each end in the central panel. Two skirt panels feature smaller alternating white and navy stripes broken up by two bright indigo blocks. These rugs were part of prison reform beginning in 19th century India.
