Handwoven in Southwest Persia during the first quarter of the 20th century (1900-1925), this Afshar rug features beautiful indigo blues and burnt oranges. The design is geometric and irreverent, with small asymmetries here and there that add to the uniqueness of the rug. It is woven of handspun wool with a goat hair selvedge. In good condition, with signs of wear consistent with age. The most notable signs being the frayed edges at the top and bottom.
