This Baluch rug was handwoven during the first quarter of the 20th century near the border of Iran and Afghanistan.
It features a design of rosette filled diamonds grounded in navy and brown with electric pops of ivory, pink and orange providing a nice contrast and visual interest. A multicolor border has sharp pops of white balancing it with the field and framing the whole nicely.
In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Low pile, with a loose handle. Some fraying to selvedge (as pictured)
