This Sewan Kazak was woven in the Caucasus during the 19th century. 

It features a variation of the classic rendition of the sewan design found in the Caucasus. The strong shield-like medallion is rendered here with a more boxier variation in a rich red, jade, indigo and an cheerful yellow. It is framed by latchooked filled sqaures that coordinate perfectly with the squarish medallion

This Sewan Kazak was woven in the Caucasus during the 19th century.

In very good condition, with a full meaty pile. It still has it's original end selvedges and braided end border with some slight unraveling in one corner (as pictured)
