This vintage Yastik rug was handwoven in Turkey during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features three wonky latch-hooked diamonds weaving in and out like a flowering vine and flanked by a series of misshapen rosettes on a red lozenge-shaped field. The field sits on a turquoise backdrop and the whole is framed by a rich orangey yellow border.
Wear is consistent with age with more in the center and along the ends, but it is structurally sound.
