Karabagh rug handwoven in the Caucasus during the Middle of the 20th Century.
This lovely Karabagh features a large scale geometric design in a muted color palette of golds, browns, and blues. The wide spacing and harmonious design of the central motif plays off nicely with the intricate and small scale geometric borders (five in all).
In excellent condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Pile is soft and silky with a lustrous sheen. The handle is soft and dense.
