This Navajo rug handwoven in the Southwest United States during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features a symmetrical design composed of softly colored diamonds atop an eye-catching red splatter that is outlined in black wool. The field is soft undyed grey wool, while the light browns and ivories offer a contrast to the design.
In excellent condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Flatwoven, with an airy handle.
