This Khotan rug was woven in Pakistan during the 21st Century
This rug features an all-over design of interconnected soft mauve latticework outlined in powder blue on a cream ground. The main border is a wonderful alternating pomegranate motif and the perimeter border features abstracted cloudbands. A perfect showcase of classic Khotan patterning which is a wonderful hybrid of both Central and Eastern Asian design.
In Very Good condition. The pile is low but with a sturdy handle.
