This Tabriz was woven in northwest Iran during the middle of the 20th century.
The design is composed of multiple interconnected palmettes in teal, light sage and an array of autumnal tones like orange, yellow and brown on an ivory ground. The main border is composed of alternating palmettes on a orange ground. The orange used throughout the composition is quite prominent and brings to mind fall foliage and pumpkins.
In good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Wear is consistent throughout. Pile is very low, handle is very sturdy.
