This Deco runner was handwoven in Tietsin, China during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features a striking and desirable contrast of a rich green ground encapsulated by a regal purple border. Various vegetation including a small flowering tree and flowers in a plant holder pays no mind to the barrier between border and field giving this piece a feeling that is free and unrestrained. In a hard-to-find short and narrow runner format.
In very good condition, with some wear where the pile is worn. Low pile, very thickly woven, with a thick and heavy handle.
