This Serab runner was woven in western Iran in the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features an all-over ground of lively latticework in red, orange, and blue with small moments of camel poking through. Nicely finished with an inner border of alternating boteh and rosettes on a red ground and two similarly scaled outer borders of scrolling rosettes on a blue ground. The borders are further framed by a thick perimeter of sandy-toned undyed camel wool.
In very good condition with some wear to the field (as pictured). All four sides have been reinforced for longevity.
