This Suzani was handmade in Uzbekistan during the third quarter of the 20th century (1950-1975).
It features a playful central medallion in white, red, yellow, and green atop a faded black ground. Four smaller medallions in yellow and green are in each corner of the piece and the whole is framed by a border. The handmade quality of this textile is apparent in the asymmetrical nature of the embroidery giving the medallions movement and distinct personality.
In good condition with a small hole, a few loose threads, and some faded color but, the embroidery is vibrant.
