Antique Nakshi Kantha featuring an off-center mandala with three reciprocal panels on top and bottom. The panels feature an elephant, a person on horseback, and what appears to be a rendition of the British hunter motif. It is framed by an alternating rosette and leaf border reminiscent of the classical egg and dart style. At the four corners of the border is a single rosette.

Antique Circus Nakshi Kantha - 1' x 1'3

19th century Shahsavan silk jajim.This type of weaving was utilized as a bedding cover by nomads or in a village setting. This piece features rich, deeply saturated tones in bands of red, blue, yellow, green, ivory, and brown woven in a very fine silk. Warpface woven in multiple strips that have been sewn together. A collector's piece with exceptional dyes and materiality that is all about COLOR. A powerful piece that would be very impactful hung on the wall.

Antique Shahsavan Kilim - 5’ x 8'

This lovely chapan is crafted from crimson striped silk. It is embellished with fine black, white, and yellow embroidery around its perimeter and up the sides. The embroidery is well executed more ornate than is standard for this type. There are three lovely floral forms on the bottom right and left of the jacket that also set it apart. A blue printed liner adds another element of interest.

This Vintage Uzbek Suzani features a central medallion in white, red, yellow, and green atop a faded black ground. Four smaller medallions in yellow and green are in each corner of the piece and the whole is framed by a border. The handmade quality of this textile is apparent in the asymmetrical nature of the embroidery giving the medallions movement and distinct personality.

This Vintage Uzbek Suzani features six floral medallions in green, red, yellow, and blue atop a faded black ground. There are drawn markings visible where the design was left unfinished in places, highlighting the human hand.

This Suzani was handmade during the early 20th century in Uzbekistan.

This suzani is composed of central floral motif embroidered in silk on an open red cotton field. Flanked by vibrant multi-tiered blossoming flowers to the right and left and framed by a lively floral meander. A multitude of colors are used for the embroidery, including turqoise, green, white, yellow, and purple.

Tantric meditation mat in Tibet. It features a man's body which is flayed open with various lines representing different layers of the internal nervous system. It is an expression of the Buddhist pursuit of bodily detachment. Practitioners of Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism in pursuit of spiritual enlightenment, used in meditation or as a seat of power or authority by advanced practitioners of esoteric Buddhism. The outer border alternates between a head and skull representing the transitoriness of life.

Quchan Kurdish Bedding Cover Kilim - 4'4 x 9'2

This kilim was handwoven in the Malatalya region of Eastern Anatolian during the early 20th century.

It features a horizontal row of four multi-lobed medallions, each filled with stylized floral motifs. The medallions float on a deep walnut-brown ground, offset by aubergine, apricot, saffron yellow, indigo, soft blues, and madder tones. The surrounding borders alternate hooked amulet forms and diamond devices, creating a rhythmic frame around the central axis.

Antique 19th century Caucasian Shirvan area kilim featuring a striped pattern of bold geometric shapes in light and dark blues, peaches, golds, and the rare green. Interspersed along the sides are small symbols and shapes, filling in the negative space. These wonderful moments of asymmetry really emphasize the handmade quality of this rug. Colorful and joyous, it's bound to bring cheer to any interior. It works well as both a layering piece or stand-alone gem.
