This Yastik was woven during the second quarter of the 20th century in Turkey. Three (and a half) hooked diamonds form the central design which is rendered in bold reds on a soft blue field. The whole is framed by a simple geometric border of zig-zagging latch-hooks. The pile is low with lustrous wool and a loose handle. A very fine little rug, in excellent condition, signs of wear consistent with age.
