Rare Qashqa'i Runner - 3’1 x 15’3

his Boatou rug was woven in Northern China during the early 20th century.

It features a nature scene in the style of classical Chinese landscape painting known as Shan Shui. The vertical composition of the rug invites the viewer to travel through the scene starting in the foreground and moving up to the tree and continuing to the night sky. Serene & Enchanting Baotou Rug - 2'11 x 5’10

This Tabriz rug was handwoven during the early 20th century.

It features an all-over design of penguin-like botehs waddling row by row in alternating directions. The botehs shift slightly in proportion and placement giving the composition a wavy feel. Adding to the funky feel and nature of the rug the weaving style begins to change near the top from a crisper weave to a looser one while the colors used slowly begin to shift as the new weaver presumably began to run out of the original yarn.

The main design is composed of various porcelain vases filled with fruit and plants such as cherry blossoms on wooden stands.This red tone is very auspicious and often associated with prosperity. It is framed by a thin blue border that forms an endless knot symbol at each corner.

This Shirvan was handwoven during the early 20th century in the Eastern Caucasus.

It features an allover design in diagonal rows on an earthy red ground. The field is composed of tree-like forms each surrounded by rosettes. In between each tree-like form are a geometric flower and a form with opposing bird-like figures.

This suzani is composed of central floral motif embroidered in silk on an open red cotton field. Flanked by vibrant multi-tiered blossoming flowers to the right and left and framed by a lively floral meander. A multitude of colors are used for the embroidery, including turqoise, green, white, yellow, and purple.
