Vintage Bokhara handwoven in Pakistan during the third quarter of the 20th century.
This rug is composed of a strong red and blue color palette with accents in orange, yellow and ivory. Woven in Pakistan by Afghan refugees in the 1980s, the pattern is a classic gül design, a clear evolution from classic Turkmen rugs.
In good condition, with some wear throughout the rug exposing peeks of the white cotton foundation (as pictured). Structurally sound, with no holes and all four sides intact. Low pile, with a light and sturdy handle of soft, silky wool.
