This Baluchrug was handwoven in Afghanistan during the second quarter of the 20th century.
This rug features an all-over field of geometric devices in blues, pinks, and browns on reddish brown ground. Framed by multiple borders including meandering "S" scrolls most prominently one in a vibrant white that really pops. Nicely finished with kilim skirt borders on each side with their own distinctive weft float embellishment.
In good condition, with wear throughout. Ends have been reinforced and sides feature the original selvedges. Low pile, with a light handle.
