This Sultanabad was handwoven in Western Iran during the early 20th century.   It features a central medallion that floats on an open and expansive golden camel ground. The field is bare other than the medallion and four cornices each mimicking a mirorred quadrant of the medallion. Framed by a main border of scrolling vegetation in pink, green, ivory and gold on an icy blue ground.  Well-balanced with a desirable palette in a hard to come by size.

In very good condition for it's considerable age. Some small areas of professional and nearly invisible conservation have been completed.
