Antique Persian Heriz roomsize rug featuring an allover design of scrolling two-tone leaves in a variety of color combinations such as black and white, turquoise and coral, and green and red on a patinated red ground. All-over designs are less common on Heriz rugs which most often feature large central medallions. The main border is composed of alternating rosettes and serrated leaves in a similar yet distinct fashion to those in the field.

This Heriz rug was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century.

It features an allover design of scrolling two-tone leaves in a variety of color combinations such as black and white, turquoise and coral, and green and red on a patinated red ground. All-over designs are less common on Heriz rugs which most often feature large central medallions. The main border is composed of alternating rosettes and serrated leaves in a similar yet distinct fashion to those in the field.

In Good condition with some visible wear to the face and edges. The rug has been professionally cleaned but there are two spots of hardened glue (as pictured).
