Afghan Lakai recycle reuseIt features a variety of fabric squares patchworked in to the shape of a traditional Uzbek door hanging. Some squares are plain fabric and others are recycled ikat and even appliquéd felt. The backing is old Russian rollerprint. A nice example of recycling and reuse.

The whole is framed by remnants of colorful cross stitch bands. A nice piece that showcases the practice of recycling and reuse. The bands as well as the red squares have been reconfigured from either a larger piece or potentially even multiple pieces.
