Antique NW Persian Shahsavan Khorjin fragment featuring a lovely field of wonky diagonal lines in various soft and patinated tones of red, pink, blue, green, and yellow.  Framed by multiple small borders that include repeating rosettes, a classical meandering vine, and most interestingly a border of matching diagonals. Woven completely of hearty undyed brown wool which makes its presence known in the worn areas as well the coarse fringes.

Antique Bengal Kantha featuring a wild and asymmetrical scene with a small off-center mandala. It is full of various motifs from fish, horses, elephants, and people. The people can be seen in pairs stacked on top of one another, riding a horse and an elephant as well as inside a Vimana or flying palace. The whimsical borders add to the wonderful chaos as they completely shift from large floral symbols to rosettes and eventually to triangles in different sections.

It has a limited palette of various red and black threads on a plain white cotton ground which is subtle but intriguing. The stitching gets fuller and more saturated in the center and small pinwheel motifs have been added giving the piece a more traditional focal point. The patterning is broken in a section in which the inclusion of an elephant adds some interest.

The panels feature an elephant, a person on horseback, and what appears to be a rendition of the British hunter motif. Antique pastel Kantha featuring a central mandala with pinwheels at its focal point as well as its four flanks. The patterning is a variation of different abstracted forms consistent in form as well as color with a limited palette of navy and red faded to soft pink on a white cotton ground. The consistency is slightly thrown by some moments where the original red has not faded packing a small punch. The red moments in combination with the pinwheels give this piece a hypnotic effect.
